Crayon Rocks!
Regular price $8.00Veer Collective has pledged an annual donation to our favorite local art organization, Artreach Orlando, so we wanted to bring in something special for little artists.
Crayon Rocks were invented by Barbara Lee, a special education teacher who saw a need to help young children, especially those with developmental disabilities, grow and train their tripod grip muscles so that writing would be easy and art fun. The perfect rock fell into her hands while repotting a plant. It can only be gripped and used with those all important three fingers: thumb, first and second. Thus was born the USA made Kentucky soy wax crayons that are ALMOST an oil pastel. Beautiful color that goes on paper with easy broad strokes. Perfect for the threenagers and older youngsters in your life.
WARNING: Choking hazard. Not for children under 3 years. Use with appropriate supervision.

Shannon grew up in New York City, the daughter of two artists, and studied at the prestigious Parsons School of Design. Since relocating to Florida, she has honed her craft under the guidance of local metalsmiths and evolved her aesthetic into what is now the beautiful, soulful brand Lou Jewels—featuring both jewelry and sculptural home goods.
We are so thrilled to highlight Shannon and share a little of her magic with you.
