Biophilia Series (North Carolina) - Matted Color Photographs - Jen Jeskey
Inspired by Edward O. Wilson’s book, Biophilia, this ongoing body of work is centered around the exploration of instinct. Initially termed by Erich Fromm, Biophilia is a hypothesis that humans possess an innate tendency to seek connections with nature and other forms of life. By observing color, movement and perspectives of the natural world, Yeskey seeks to engage with her own innate curiosity to connect with other forms of life.
